Sclerotherapy to Spider Veins

Spider veins whether red or blue are dilated venules in the dermis. This common problem is present in about 40% of adult women and many men. It usually occurs with varicose veins and sclerotherapy is the only practical method to remove them, lasers are quite useless.

When spider veins are treated, the reticular and feeding veins to the spider veins has to be sealed off for a good result, this cannot be done with lasers.

They can be extensive making lasers impractical.
